At the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Auxiliary's Legislative Conference in Washington, DC the winners of the Patriot's Pen essay contest for middle schools and the Voice of Democracy speech contest for high schools were announced.  And the Department of Maryland won BOTH!

     Congratulations to Karolina Mazur, from Sacred Heart School, who represented Lt. Peter G. Zouck Post # 521, Owings Mills, in District 7.  She received a $5,000 scholarship for her first place win in the nation.  

     Congratulations to Robyn Anzulis, from The Tome School, who represented The Counties Four Post #10076, Mount Airy, in District 7.   Whose first place nationally won her $30,000 for extending her education.
