Our Post Commander, Anthony "Tony" Lowe is a proud U.S. Air Force Retiree, earning his membership eligibility in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other locations.  Comrade Lowe has been a part of the VFW family since 2016 when he began his affiliation as a full-time accredited service officer (Pre-Discharge Claims Representative) at multiple military installations within the National Capital Region.  

 

Chief Master Sergeant (Ret) Lowe assumed the newly created position of Associate Director, Economic Opportunity in 2017, where he served in VFW Washington DC office.  In this role, Tony was was the Subject Matter Expert for all employment, education and transition statistics, policy, studies, and reports; providing complete synergy with legislative and service delivery directors.

 

Tony was promoted in 2019 to the position of Director of Operations and Chief of Staff, VFW Washington Office.  In this position, he directed efforts across all business lines and directorates, executing common goals and guidance of the Executive Director resulting in exceptional administration of benefit delivery to veterans and their families.  

 

Commander Lowe returned to federal civil service in January of 2022, and currently serves as a Workforce and Leadership Development Specialist with the Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), providing executive and leadership coaching.
