Honoring Brigadier General Charles McGee VFW POST 341 Wash DC

Brigadier General Charles McGee, born on December 7, 1919, stands among the most distinguished members of the Tuskegee Airmen. Over an extraordinary 30-year career, he flew combat missions in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, exemplifying courage, discipline, and unwavering devotion to duty. He passed away in 2022 at the remarkable age of 102.

General McGee often reflected on the fact that his birthday, December 7, coincided with the attack on Pearl Harbor—a pivotal moment in American history and a turning point that helped define his path of service.

Today, we the members of VFW POST 341 honor his legacy, his leadership, and the enduring inspiration he continues to provide to airmen and veterans across generations.

Yours in Comradeship,

Cmdr Joe Respress
